Test System Solutions—Company Timeline

2004 – The Beginning

The journey began in 2004, when Ash Shah left his full-time position to start an
independent consulting firm, Mamoo LLC, focused on helping product
development and manufacturing organizations streamline automated hardware
test development processes. The firm’s early emphasis was on collaborating with customers’ existing test engineering teams to support their automated test
software development efforts.

2013 – The Founding of Test System
Solutions, Inc.

By 2013, Ash recognized a recurring industry challenge — many test engineering managers were struggling to complete automated test system builds on schedule and within budget. To solve this, Test System Solutions, Inc. (TSS) was founded with a clear mission: to deliver comprehensive, reliable, and cost-effective automated test system solutions.

In the early stages, Ash partnered with expert test engineering consultants to form integrated teams that worked side-by-side with customer engineering groups to accelerate development and deployment.

2020 – Expansion and Manufacturing Facility

In 2020, Test System Solutions, Inc. achieved a major milestone by opening its first manufacturing facility in Hudson, Massachusetts. Around this time, Jim Boutelle, an accomplished industry leader with over 40 years of experience in test, product development, and high-volume manufacturing, joined asCo-Founder and Vice President of Engineering, adding depth and leadership tothe company’s growing engineering organization.

Today, Test System Solutions, Inc. operates from a world-class headquarters and manufacturing facility dedicated to delivering turnkey Automated Test Systems (ATE) to product development companies across the United States.

Ash Shah holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) and brings over 30 years of experience in the Test & Measurement industry. Over the course of his career, he has held leadership roles in Program Management, ProjectManagement, Test Engineering, and Software Engineering, with extensive expertise in the design and development of Automated Test Equipment (ATE)systems for both engineering and production environments. His work has spanned a broad range of industries, including Aerospace, Automotive, MedicalDevice, Telecom, SATCOM, Military/DoD, and Semiconductor, and across technologies encompassing Power, RF, Analog, Digital, and Mixed-Signal systems.

As the Founder and President of Test System Solutions (TSS), Ash leverages this deep technical and managerial experience to guide the company’s vision and execution. His comprehensive understanding of complex test architectures, system integration, and program delivery enables TSS to provide innovative, reliable, and cost-effective automated test solutions tailored to the unique needs of each client. Ash’s leadership emphasizes technical excellence, customer partnership, and operational integrity, driving TSS’s reputation as a trusted partner in high-performance test system development.

Jim Boutelle holds a Bachelor of Arts in Physics and a Master of Science in
Electrical Power Engineering (MSEPE), bringing over 40 years of experience
across Product Development, High-Volume Manufacturing, and the Test &
Measurement industries. Throughout his career, Jim has held leadership roles in Management, Hardware Engineering, and Systems Engineering, where he has led multidisciplinary teams in the design, development, and deployment of complex test and measurement systems.

As Vice President of Engineering at Test System Solutions (TSS), Jim draws on his extensive technical background and leadership experience to drive engineering strategy, oversee system architecture, and ensure the delivery of high-performance, reliable, and cost-effective solutions. His hands-on approach and deep industry insight help TSS maintain its reputation for innovation and technical excellence.

Cody Beauchesne holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering (BSCE)and brings over three years of experience in the Test & Measurement industry. As a driven and capable engineer, Cody is dedicated to manufacturing excellence, continually improving efficiency and streamlining the test system build and integration process.

In a short time, Cody has demonstrated strong leadership potential, taking on greater responsibility in guiding projects and supporting the development of innovative ATE solutions. He is passionate about mentoring and enabling the next generation of engineers, helping them build the skills and confidence needed to succeed in Automated Test Equipment (ATE) system design and development.

His technical depth, proactive mindset, and growing leadership role make him an integral part of Test System Solutions (TSS) and its culture of continuous improvement and engineering excellence.

Joyce Mendes serves as the Office Manager at Test System Solutions (TSS), bringing strong organizational and financial expertise to the team. She is a certified Executive Assistant and a certified QuickBooks Professional, supporting the business across multiple functions including administration, executive support, office management, accounts payable, and procurement.

Fluent in English, Spanish, and Portuguese, Joyce fosters effective communication across diverse teams, clients, and vendors—enhancing collaboration and ensuring seamless day-to-day operations. Her professionalism, attention to detail, and commitment to operational efficiency make her an essential contributor to the ongoing success of TSS.
